POA Meeting – Special Guest – Harry N. Lumpkin, US Army (Retired)

Membership meeting featuring Colonel Harry N. Lumpkin, US Army (Retired)
Harry Lumpkin of the Village of Hadley is a retired Army Colonel
with 26 years of active-duty service.
Harry is a graduate of the Army War College and has two master’s
degrees. His military service spanned from Vietnam to Desert
Storm. Some of his assignments included six years in various
locations in Germany, and several staff positions at the
Pentagon on the Army Staff and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He
also served as General Colin Powell's logistics briefer. He has
received numerous military awards as well as Congressional
citations for outstanding Leadership and Community Service.
Harry has been a full-time resident of The Villages since 2009.
He has held leadership positions in several Villages clubs and
organizations including the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Commemorative Committee, African American Club, Baby Boomers
Club, Rotary Club, Sophisticated Gents of Florida, and The
Vietnam Veterans Club. He is a member of the First Baptist
Church at The Villages.
Colonel Lumpkin takes extreme pride in The Villages Eisenhower
Recreation Center and was a key leader on the committee that
helped collect, identify, and tag items and memorabilia
displayed at the Eisenhower Center in the Villages.
